CARLINVILLE - Helen M. Epperly, 85, of Carlinville, formerly of Virden, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at St. John's Hospital.
She was born July 9, 1920, in Virden, the daughter of Raymond R. and Mary M. Trojcak Ewbank. She married Harold Epperly in 1982; he died in 1987.
Mrs. Epperly was a registered nurse for more than 50 years, working at Elgin State Hospital as a private duty nurse and as an administrator at Homestead Convalescent. She was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Carlinville.
Survivors: daughter, of Picayune, Miss.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Virden Cemetery, the Rev. James McGee officiating.
Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home in Virden is in charge of arrangements.
