Wanda June Bergstrom, 75, of Berryton, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at St. Francis Health Center. She was born on May 8, 1934 in Belleville, KS to Harold and Olive (Owens) Everhart.

Wanda graduated from Scandia High School. She was a cashier for Harry's IGA in Topeka.

On October 21, 1956 she married LaVern C. Bergstrom in Yuba City, CA, he survives.

She is also survived by her children, Lawanna Bergstrom of Berryton; Clayton (Dee) Bergstrom of Berryton; Denise L. (Gary) Weixelman of Berryton; Angela (Jay) Bergstrom-Nolan of Topeka; and Cory (Brian) Ginter of Berryton; two brothers, Jimmy (Thelma) Everhart of Colorado and Alan (Rita) Everhart of Nebraska; two sisters, Barbara (Michael) Mosher of Kansas and Jackie (Bud) Sjolander of Kansas; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Gregory Bergstrom, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Wanda will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Shawnee County Parks & Recreation Foundation, 3137 SE 29th Street, Topeka, KS, 66605 for the girls softball fields at Lake Shawnee.
