BLANKENSHIP, LUCILLE B. EVERETT - age 92 of Fountain City went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 1:20 pm. Retired from Standard Knitting Mills after 37 years of service. She loved her family, home, flowers and working in the yard. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. (Bob) Blankenship, Sr.; son, Robert L. (Buddy) Blankenship, Jr. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis & David Allison, Shirley & Stanley Butler, both of Corryton; daughter-in-law, Cynthia E. (Cindy) Blankenship; grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Joy, Niki, Jordan and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Abby, Steel, Roman, Ethan & Lexie; special nieces, Carol & Boe; several other nieces and nephews; great nephew, Bryce. Funeral service will be on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 8pm in Stevens Chapel with Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarger officiating. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday at 2:15pm at Greenwood Cemetery for a 2:30pm graveside service and interment. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Monday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Ave. at North Broadway.
