Charlie Howard "Harold" Evans
HAW RIVER - Mr. Charlie Howard "Harold" Evans, 65, of 3719 S. NC Hwy 119, Haw River, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at 2:45 a.m., at Alamance Regional Medical Center following 3 years failing and 1 week critical illness.
A native of Wise County, Va., he was the husband of Mrs. Phyllis W. Evans and son of the late Hayward Evans and Bonnie Stidham Evans. He was owner/operator of Pioneer Mechanical Contractors, Inc., a member of Greater Love World Outreach and a US Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne.
Surviving other than his wife of the home are a daughter, Tracy Randleman of Caswell Co.; a son, Travis Evans of Burlington; four sisters, three brothers, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death other than his parents by a granddaughter, Breanna Dodson, and two brothers.
Services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Rev. Ron Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday evening and other times at the residence.
