Daughter of Owen Evans and Mary Freeland. Wife of Adam Beamer (1816-1901) on same stone. Obituary: The Evening Telegraph, Dixon, Illinois, January 22, 1894, p.4, Col.2: DEATH OF MRS BEAMER- Mrs Ann Beamer, whose illness has been mentioned in this paper, died Saturday evening at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Harned, 320 West Second Street, where the funeral was held this morning at nine O'clock, proceeding from thence to the cemetery at Melugin's Grove.
Ann Evans was born in Wilkesbarre, Luzerne County, PA., Sept. 10, 1819. At the age of eighteen she was married to Adam Beamer. In the year 1852 they, with their family, removed to Lee County, Ill., where she has since resided.
At the age of 66 her sight began to fail and for the last three years she has been totally blind. Since February 1892, she has suffered from the cancer which caused her death.
She was a faithful and consisten Christian, having been a member of the M. E. Church for the past 57 years. Her life has been marked by her unselfish devotion to her family, and uncomplaining patience to the end.
