JOSEPH THOMAS "JOE" EVANS, 49, Clay City, died June 19, 2003. A native of Marion County, Evans was a teacher. He was preceded in death by: his father, Curtis Evans; maternal grandparents, Jim and Fannie Mason; and paternal grandparents, Al and Ida Bell Evans. Survivors include: his mother, Ethel Evans of Lebanon; a son, Jeremiah Joseph Evans of Lexington; a daughter, Jessica Hayden Evans of Louisville; a sister, Anna Laura Davenport of Lebanon; and a brother, Butch Evans of Bloomington, Ind. Funeral services were held June 21 at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Old Liberty Cemetery, Bradfordsville. Bro. Neal Gordon officiated. Pallbearers were Bill Trude, Floyd Sizemore, Frank Witham, Joe Hickey, Jeff Eggleston and Anthony Brandenburg. Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
