Age 77 years, was born in Thomasville, Alabama to the late Ludie and Mamie Holt Evans on November 11, 1932. Mamie passed when Cleo was young and he continued to be reared by the late Essie Lee Evans. On Wednesday, October 27, 2010 he was called home. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Wilmer Evans, Harold Evans, Sylvia Davis, Bessie Hurst and Marie Solomon. Cleo relocated to Gary, Indiana in 1953 in seek of employment. He retired from U S Steel after 42 years of employment. He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted daughter, Crystal (Tony) Brown of Gary, IN; son, Antonio Evans of Houston, TX; six brothers, Ludie Gene (Margie) Evans, Sherman (Susan) Evans all of Gary, IN, Thomas (Willie Louise) Evans, Leon (Shameka) Evans all of Thomasville, AL, Marshall (Dianne) Evans, Henry (Melanie) Evans all of Erie, PA; nine sisters, Mary Ann (George) Cowan, Mary Ellen (Arthur) Malone all of Thomasville, AL, Shirley (John) Morgan, Evelyn McCullum, Barbara Evans all of Erie, PA, Mamie Louise (Johnny) Freeland, Ryndell Enwere, Carrie Evans and Debra (Trey) Jackson all of Milwaukee, WI; two grandson; goddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, November 5, 2010 from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. Family hour 7-8 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 West 11th Avenue. Funeral Services Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Clark Road Baptist Church, 2841 Clark Road. Rev. Issac Culver officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park
