Eva Evans Padgett died October 15, 2006 while visiting at the home of her daughter, Linda Kinast, in Woodstock, GA. She had been a resident of Panama City, FL since August 1947, moving here from Marianna, Fl where she was a longtime resident. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City, FL and loved her church and Sunday school class, the Willing Workers. Mrs. Padgett was born to Raymond P. and Alice L. Smith Evans on October 8, 1914, in Vernon, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, E. Anderson Padgett, her sister, V. Ottis E. Wheeler, her sons, R. David Padgett and E. Anderson Padgett, Jr., and one daughter, Marilyn Louise Padgett. Surviving Mrs. Padgett are her three daughters, Barbara P. Thomason, and husband, Ronnie Thomason, Lynn Haven, FL; Joan P. Karr, Panama City, FL; and Linda P. Kinast, and husband, Bert Kinast, Woodstock, GA; and her sister, A. Rae E. Schuchardt and husband, Harold Schuchardt, San Luis Obispo, CA. She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, a niece, nephew, and many other relatives.
Officiating at graveside services at Greenwood Cemetery in Panama City will be Rev. Clyde Ellison of First Baptist Church, Panama City. The service will be held at 2:00pm on October 19, 2006. Following the service, the family will be home at 1244 Airport Road, Panama City, FL from 3:30pm to 5:30pm if anyone would like to call.
