Roy Lynn Evan, 62 of Caldwell, formerly of Cameron passed away peacefully at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron, with Pastor Wayne Calder and Jeanette Treeter officiating burial to follow. The visitation will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, Caldwell. Roy was born in Castro County, TX to parents Laddie Evan Sr. and Ellanora (Mueller) Evan. He worked for Verizon as a Comm-Tech, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, watching football and spending time with his family especially the grandkids. He was a member of the Steel Workers of America, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and CWA. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Laddie Evan Jr. and Robert Evan, and a sister, Irene Pearson. Roy is survived by his dear friend, Vinelda Schwartz of Caldwell, a daughter, Veronica Henry of Little River Academy, two sons, Billy Evan and R.L. Evan both of Cameron, eight grandchildren; Michael & Baily Evan of Cameron, Trey, Matthew, and Logan Evan of Temple, David, Makayla and Jerica Henry of Little River Academy, a brother, Charles Evan of Cameron, and a sister, JoAnn Evan of Hearne, and by his former wife Lillie Evan of Cameron also by other family members and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be, Donnie Paul, Norris McManus, Terry Garrett, Troy Poehl, A.W. Brewer and Earl Hardcastle. Honorary pallbearers will be, Charlie Langham, Mike Zwernemann, Gary Zwernemann, and John Treeter
