Roxy Lynn (Eure) McKee
Born in Mobile, Ala., on October 6, 1954, to Bill and Claudia Eure, Roxy passed away in Reno, Nev., on October 11, 2010. Roxy was a beloved wife to Ken McKee for 20 years and loving mother to Jessica and lil' Roxy. She is also survived by her granddaughter Mandy, her brother Bill Eure (Cyndi), and many extended family members.
Roxy was blessed with a happy outgoing personality. She loved country western music and shows. She worked as a waitress for the Tamarack Casino for five years. Roxy formerly worked at the Gold Dust and Pioneer Casino until it closed. Roxy enjoyed her career as a waitress in Reno. It gave her a chance to interact with the customers who came to know and love her. She was known for her red hair, big earrings and smart mouth. She will be remembered for her fighting spirit, quirky personality, generosity and her passion for family. By her request, her ashes will be spread among the mountains in Virginia City, Nev.
A service in Roxy's honor will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct 28, 2010, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Fellowship Hall, corner of Arlington and California. Refreshments following the service courtesy Tamarack Casino.
