A resident of Lucedale, she graduated from Plain Dealing High School, Louisiana Tech, and Mississippi Southern and became an educator. She retired from teaching in the public school system after 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale. She died May 31, 2003.
She is survived by her three nephews, J. A. (Sue) Stroud of Houston, TX, Hershel (Glenda) Green and George E. (Loretta) Rodgers, III, both of Louisiana; five nieces, Mildred Green, Mary (Freddie) chandler, Linda (Charles) Kirkland, Kim Rodgers, and Beverly (Dennis) Bagwell; and a host of great and great great nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton W. Eubanks; parents, George Edward "Bud" Rodgers and Mary Lucendia "Lucy" Barnes Rodgers; three sisters, Georgia Myrtle Rodgers (Hut) Green, Bruie Mae Rodgers (Atwood) stoud, and Mary Beatrice Rodgers (Algie) Anderson; and two brothers, George Edward (Rhea) Rodgers, Jr. and Issiac Linton (Emma,Earline) Rodgers.
Interment was held in the Rocky Creek Cemetery with Rev. Bud Parker officiating the services.
