ETIER, EMILIE GRANT
Emily, also spelled Emilie, Grant was born in Macon County, Georgia in 1849 to Sam Grant and Fabitha Aken. Emily moved to Texas in 1874 to Weatherford, Parker County, Texas where she met William Ferdinand Etier. W.F. Etier served as a private in the 10th Texas Cavalry Company H. Etier was married 3 times before he married Emily. Emily and William were married in 1876 according to William's son, Amos Ferdinand Etier, Emily's stepson, and on January 19, 1877 according to Parker County marriage records.
W.F. Etier passed away in April 1904. Emily Etier was admitted to the Confederate Women's Home and lived here until she passed away of dengue fever on November 12, 1922.
