Shirley Blankenship, 60, of Phelps, Ky., died Monday, March 15, 2010, at the Pikeville (Ky.) Medical Center.

She was born in Phelps, March 22, 1949, to Magaline Wolford Estep of Phelps and the late Dock Estep.

Shirley was a devoted homemaker and of the Church of God faith.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Lee Blankenship; son, Marvin Blankenship of Phelps; daughters, Katrina Blankenship of Phelps and Vivian Tackett of South Williamson, Ky.; brothters, Kelly and Gary Estep, both of Phelps; five grandchildren, Kassie, Shyana, Maggie, Niki, C.J.; and three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Brandon, and Tyler. Shirley is also survived by a host of children who called her "Ma."

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, March 19, at the Jamboree Church of God of Jamboree, Ky., with the Revs. Marvin Casey and Willie Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Blankenship-Estep Cemetery, Jamboree, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
