"Mrs Gussie Clayton, wife of Charles C Clayton, died at her home on the County Line Road on Tuesday morning last at 8:30 after an illness of about four weeks. Mrs Clayton was in her 53rd year and was the daughter of George and Mary Estelle. She has lived with her family in this vicinity for about twenty years. When a young woman she accepted the Methodist faith and was highly respected by her neighbors and friends. She held honorary membership in the Daughters of Liberty.
Surviving are a husband and one son, Leon, together with three sisters and two brothers as follows: Mrs David Jones and Mrs William Thompson of Lakewood, Mrs Harry Davison, Oscar and Elmer Estelle of Pleasant Grove. The funeral services to which friends and relatives are invited will be held tomorrow, Saturday, at 1 PM at the late residence and 2 PM at the Pleasant Grove church. Burial at Pleasant Grove".
