George Oliver Esslinger, age 60, of Leonardville, Kansas, died unexpectedly, October 19, 1966 at his home. He was born October 28, 1905 on a farm near Clifton, KS to John and Delia (Alexander) Esslinger.

On May 2, 1928 he was united in marriage to Mary Goldie Martin.

He was a farmer for his entire life-time. He was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother Leo Esslinger.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Esslinger, Leonardville, KS; daughter, Rose (Leo) Burgman, Leonardville, KS; four grandchildren; Three brothers, Francis N. (Delia) Esslinger, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Elmer (Jean) Esslinger, Woodburn, Oregon; Leon (Marie) Esslinger, Houston, Texas; two sisters, Lucille (Bryan) Danielson, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. George Henry, Clark Mills, New York; and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic
Church, Clay Center, KS. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS.

Pallbearers were: Laurence Coutermarsh, Martin Davies, Bart Coutermarsh Jr, Charles Wernette, Max 0'Donnell, and Edward Lohman.

Honorary pallbearers were: David Henry, Tommy Danielson, Don Esslinger, Bernie Esslinger, Leon Esslinger Jr, and Francis Esslinger Jr.
