Dorcelie "Cisco" Esponge Jr., 78, a native and resident of Grand Isle, died at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church in Grand Isle. Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

He is survived by his companion, Ruby Ayaya; three sons, Blake Esponge and Sue, Carle Esponge Sr. and Bobbie, and Joseph Adame; three daughters, Melisa Esponge, Elizabeth Adame and Connie Tillery; three brothers, Noles Esponge, and Neil, and Norris Esponge and Shirley; nine grandchildren, Robert Esponge, Carles Esponge Jr., Dorcelie Esponge, Samantha Self, Holly Stevens, Timothy Stevens, Kody Esponge, Ron Tillery and Clint Tillery; and six great-grandchildren, Aaron Esponge, Kale Esponge, Grant Self, Cade Tillery, Obadiah Tillery and Kamryn Tillery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorcelie Esponge Sr. and Henrietta Galliano Esponge.

He was a lifetime member of the Rotary Club. He was present owner and operator of Cisco's Hideaway and Cisco's Cajun Cantina.
