MIDDLETOWN --- Bernard J. "Bud" Esleeck, 64, of 9 Reardon Drive, a research and
development analyst for General Electric for 23 years, retiring in 1988, died
Wednesday in Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston.
Born in Newport, he was the son of the late Arthur L. and Bridget T. (Shea) Esleeck.
He was a Coast Guard and Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He also served in the
Merchant Marines.
He had also worked for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Company in Hartford, Conn., for 15
years.
He leaves one son, Brian J. Esleeck of Warren; one daughter, Linda Michalek of
Portsmouth; one brother, Arthur V. Esleeck of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one sister,
Florence Schuster of Middletown; and one granddaughter. He was also the brother of
the late John C. Esleeck.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375
Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Barnabas Church, East
Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Brown's Lane,
Middletown.
