ORA -- Christine Eskridge, 69, Ora, died July 20 in the Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.
She was born June 16, 1927 to Shipley and Allie (Prader) Salyer, both deceased, in Salyersville, Ky.
On June 10, 1944, in Knox, she married Samuel J. Eskridge who died on March 3, 1965.
Mrs. Eskridge was a homemaker and a resident of this area for 56 years, moving here in 1940 from Salyersville.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Jean Homan, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Deborah Griffith, of Knox; four sons, Samuel W., of Knox, Guy Daniel, of Chicago, Roger Lee, of Ora, and Gregory L., of Monterey; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 24, (today) in the M. C. Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward L. Hasnerl officiating.
Burial took place in the Bass Lake Cemetery.
