Mrs. John Erskine

Mrs. John Erskine, 89, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lynn Briggs, 1312 West Twenty-seventh. She was born in Polmont, Scotland, march 12, 1853, and came to Carbondale straight from Scotland in 1881. She came to Topeka a year and a half ago and has made her home with her daughter since this time.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Scotland.

She is survived by one son, A.W. Erskine, Topeka; four daughters, Mrs. Agnes Fauley, Carbondale, Mrs. Helem Montgomery, Michigan Valley, Kansas, Mrs. Margaret Hyatt, Tulsa, Mrs. Briggs of the home; ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
