Ruth Erikson Clark, 90, beloved wife, mother and friend, died on February 19, 2008 in Bountiful of age-related causes.

She was born in Rexburg, Idaho to Alexander and Elizabeth Isabell Erikson on September 30, 1917 and lived most of her married life in Farmington, Utah, and McLean, Va. She attended Ricks College and LDS Business College. She served an LDS mission in California and later worked as an executive assistant for Marriott in Washington, D.C., during the company's early years. It was in Washington that she met her husband, Dale D. Clark, with whom she had 11 children. She was a faithful LDS member and held numerous church positions, including Relief Society president and Seminary teacher in the McLean (Va.) Ward. The many who knew and loved her will remember her for her keen intelligence, clever wit, boundless loyalty and unwavering dignity. She was the youngest in a family of 12 and treasured a happy childhood growing up on a farm in Rexburg. She created full and happy childhoods for her own offspring and was an energetic and selfless mother who put the needs of her family ahead of her own.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Clark of Bountiful; sister, Amy Willis (Mesa, Az.); children, Kristina Clark (Washington, D.C.); Jill (David) LaFrance (Leesburg, Va.); Jim Clark (Fairfax, Va.); Jayne Clark (Washington, D.C.); Lewis (Maureen) Clark (Bountiful); Douglas Clark (Draper); Alan Clark (Fairfax, Va.); and Alexandra (Randy) Monk, (Leesburg, Va.); 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, Peter, Erik and Jonathan.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Bountiful Hills Ward Chapel, 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive (900 South). Friends and Family may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, and on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to the services.
