Lois Eriksen Cousins, 84, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Sunset Village, Sylvania, OH. Born April 26, 1929, to Leif and Thelma Eriksen, Lois was a graduate of BGSU. She wed Glenn L. Cousins on August 2, 1952. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1988. She was a devoted kindergarten teacher for 30 years in the Toledo Public Schools. Lois is survived by her son, Jeff (Sherri); daughter Amy; granddaughter, Kirsten; brother, L. Thomas Eriksen (Barabara); brother-in-law, Jack Lyon, as well as six nieces and nephews. Her younger sister, Ethel Lyon, also preceded Lois in death earlier this year. Honoring Lois's wishes, no service will be held. A private burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park, this Friday, October 11, 2013. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Sunset Village for their devoted care and attention over these last four years. Those wishing to honor Lois may make donations to the Sunset Village Employee Appreciation Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ansberg- West Funeral Directors, 419-472-7633.
