Lowell D. Erickson, 67, of Minneapolis, formerly of North Branch, died suddenly on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at his home.

Lowell was born July 10, 1935 at North Branch to Reuben and Olga (Holmbeck) Erickson. He graduated from North Branch High School in 1953. His dad owned the old Hilltop Feed Mill and Lowell worked with him there. He then owned and operated the North Branch Auto Supply, Performance Sports, and Griff's Car Wash. Before his retirement he was also an independent trucker. Lowell enjoyed stock car racing, spending time at the lake with friends near Clam Falls, and especially raising St. Bernards.

Lowell is survived by his children Larry and his wife Cindy of North Branch, Brenda and her husband Roger Liebet of Stacy, Cindy Erickson of North Branch; grandchildren Bradley (Katie) Erickson and their expected child, Michael Erickson, Adam, Alisha, Colton Liebet; brother Dennis (Janet) of Redwing; special friend Marcia Shane and her son Terry (Nina) Wilkins, their children Lindsey, Tera, and Christopher.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in North Branch with Rev. Kurt Liebenow, officiating. Private interment will be in the Trinity Cemetery.
