Margaret L. Durflinger, 91, of Otterbein, died at 6:08 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.

Born March 28, 1915, to the late Herman Louis Erdmann and Emma Marie Dahlenburg in White County, she was a 1933 graduate of Round Grove Township High School, the first graduating class after consolidation.

Her marriage was to Lowell Durflinger on Feb. 22, 1936, in Reynolds, and he died Dec. 13, 1989.

Mrs. Durflinger was a life resident of the area. She attended Mount Gilboa United Methodist Church and was a member of the Methodist Women there.

She enjoyed gardening, weaving rugs on her loom and tending to her yard flowers.

Surviving are two sons, Tommy Durflinger (wife: Brenda) of Otterbein and Kevin Durflinger (wife: Lisa) of Lafayette; two daughters, Darlene Sullivan (husband: Dawson) of Otterbein and Karen King (husband: David) of Lafayette; and a sister, LaVerne Canfield of Dayton, Ohio.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Forrest Williams; a granddaughter, Julia Burns; and a brother, Cleo Erdmann.
