MRS. ELIZABETH ERBLAND DIES IN JOLIET NURSING HOME; RITES IN WENONA
WENONA - (Special) -
Mrs. Elizabeth (Hogan) Erbland, a native of Wenona, and a sister of Miss Kate Hogan and Mrs. Eva Reinmann of Streator, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday morning in the Lincoln Nursing home in Joliet. She had been ill since Feb. 1 and had been previously hospitalized in Joliet.
The body was taken to the Thierry funeral home in Wenona where friends may call after 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Sunday evening.
Services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's church in Wenona with burial in St. Mary's cemetery there.
The deceased, the daughter of Jeremiah and Catherine (White) Hogan was born May 13, 1879 in Wenona. She married Henry Erbland of Minonk in 1899 in Wenona where the couple resided several years before moving to Chicago. Mr. Erbland died in 1937.
For the last 17 months she had been making her home with her son, Joseph F., in Mokena, until the nature of her illness made it necessary for her to be hospitalized. She also spent several months in the Kate Kane home in Wenona.
Her son and two sisters survived. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
