Seneath Raye Overton Epps

Mrs. Seneath Raye Overton Epps, age 68 of Whitney, died Saturday, June 12, at her residence. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 1993 at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with the Reverend Eddie Booth officiating.

Mrs. Epps was born February 17, 1925 in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jesse William and Toni Freeman Overton. She lived in Texas most her life except one year in Oklahoma and 25 years in Phoenix, Arizona. She moved back to Whitney in 1969. She married G.J. (Al) Epps on December 21, 1945. She was part owner of appliance and furniture company for 25 years, Phoenix, Arizona. She was a lifetime member of the Prairie Valley Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, G.J. (Al) Epps of Whitney; one son, Michael Epps of Lago Vista, Texas, one daughter, Kelli Epps of Denton; one brother, Charlie and Eileen Overton of Whitney; four sisters, Wanda and Chesley Auten of Whitney, Sue and Don Brown of Grandview, June and Jim Carmichael of Hillsboro and Polly Caperton of Whitney.

Memorials can be made to the Prairie Valley Baptist Church.
