BORING Violet M., 87, Johnstown, died Jan. 22, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 5, 1927, to the late Emmert and Sara (Helsel) Eppley. Preceded in death by husband, Norman Boring Jr., and sister, Helen Delaney. Survived by children, Sherial Huncharik, Johnstown; Norman Borning III (Linda), Johnstown; Daniel Boring (Doreen), Johnstown; Raymond Boring (Anita), Scottsdale, N.C.; Clifford Boring (Kelly), Daytona Beach Fla.; siblings, Thomas, Dorcey, Fred and Gail Eppley; grandchildren, Lisa, Leanne, Norman IV, Peter, Joshua, Michael, Megan and Jason; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Vi- olet was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon for many years. She loved to cook, bake and make cookies and candy. Violet was very charitable, always giving things she had crocheted to others. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m., Pastor Denise Todero officiating. A meal will be served at Ace's Lounge immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church.
