DEATH OF HUGH EPPERSON
Body of Edina Youth on Way Home From Kansas City For Burial.
Hugh Epperson, not quite 21 years old, died at 9:15 o'clock last night at a hospital in Kansas City of spinal meningitis. He had been sick only since Saturday and his mother, Mrs. Moody Shalley of Edina, went to Kansas City Sunday morning to be with him.
The body will be brought to Edina to the home of his mother and Mr. Shalley and will arrive about 11 o'clock tonight. No funeral arrangements have been made as yet.
Hugh Arlan Epperson, only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Epperson, was born April 21, 1909, in Milan, Mo. He came to Edina with his mother four years ago, and attended the Edina High School, graduating in the class of '27. He then worked for the Krueger Packing Co. and the Missouri Power & Light Co. here and left Edina last April going to Kansas City, where he has since worked.
Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Miss Mildred Epperson of Edina and Mrs. A. B. Amick of Mexico Mo.

Hugh Epperson, 20 years old, died of spinal meningitis at Kansas City yesterday. The body was taken to Edina where burial services were held today.
He was a nephew of Mrs. Boyd Howard, of this city. His mother, Mrs. Ruth Shawley [sic], lives in Edina, and his father, Herman Epperson, a fireman on the O. K., lives at Osborne.

Burial of Hugh Epperson
The body of Hugh Epperson, son of Mrs. Moody Shalley of Edina, who died Wednesday of last week in Kansas City of spinal meningitis, arrived on the Santa Fe shortly after noon Friday at Baring, where it was met and taken directly to the Linville cemetery at Edina for services at the grave and burial. The Rev. Terence Mullins, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, Edina, conducted the services young Epperson having recently been baptised [sic] as a Catholic.
