Gladys Harmon Beach, 91, Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

Born in Marion County June 8, 1919, Beach was a homemaker and a member of the Springfield Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Sam Miller Harmon; second husband, Victor T. Beach; parents, James C. and Ada H. Riggs Ensor; and a great-grandson, Brandon Hutchinson.

Survivors include: a daughter, Wanda H. (Ted) Lavit of Lebanon; a son, Jim Miller (Nancy) Harmon of Lebanon; a step-daughter, Marsha Beach Herndon of Lexington; a step-son, Victor J. (Peggy) Beach of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Matthew Harmon, Amanda H. (Dr. Rob) Hutchinson, Brian, Angela and Frank Brown III; six great-grandchildren, Savannah, Samantha and Sarah Hutchinson, Avery Claire Brown, Ande Stamper and Aidan Parker Smith; four step-grandchildren, Charlotte Beach and Kristal Herndon, Dan (Polly) Lavit and Laura (Andrew) Elmore; five step-great-grandchildren, Jayden Fults, Theodore Elmore, Ysabel Lavitz, Eve Lavitz and Maxwell Elmore.

The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Ryder Cemetery, Lebanon. Brother Justin Compton of the Springfield Baptist Church officiated.

Pallbearers were James H. Smith, Gilbert Todd, Brent and Felix Johnson, Monty Parman and Perry Bland.

Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
