Virginia was a long time member of Gayland Heights Baptist Church, where she played the piano and organ as her gift to the Glory of God.
She is preceded by parents, Carl and Lennie Smith Ensor; husband, Howard; son, Buddy; grand daughter, Faye LeeAnn Blackstock.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Benny and Nancy of Friendsville, Tom and Susan of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Ronnie Reed of Knoxville; grandchildren, Brad, Blake, Joshua, Kayla, Tracy, Josh, and Jacob; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers, Carl (Barbara), Dan (Opal), Jack, and Tommy (Jean); sister, Linda (Wayne) Sexton; several nieces and nephews; and her many friends at Broadway Towers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Holston Health and Rehab Center.
The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home, Saturday, April 19, 2014, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Service to follow at 2:00 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Rev. Dave Mason and Rev. Tim Turley officiating. Interment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery.
