Betts - At her home at York Praire, March 15, 1890, Mrs. Annetta M. Betts, aged 83 years, 3 months and 11 days.
Deceased came from Pennsylvania with her husband, the late Judge J.C. Betts, in 1844, remained in Davenport a year and then removed to this county, where she has resided continually ever since. Was a resident of Tipton up to 1870, when the family went to live upon the farm where she died.
She was one oof the oldest residents of the county and during the many years her husband was prominently before the public, enjoyed a wide aquaintance, which owing to her long continued infirmaties and the removal of old friends, had be necessarily narrowed of late.
She was a noble woman, and leaves behind a record of good deeds and self sacrificing devotion that should long keep her memory green.
The funeral was held yesterday, Rev. C.A. Hawn conducting the service, and a large number of friends and neighbors accompaning the remains to Masonic cemetery, where they were laid to rest beside those of her husband.
