Bonnie June Brundage, 90, passed from this life on Monday, June 10, 2013, at her daughter's home in Urbandale, IA.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 14, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Bonnie was born on May 29, 1923, in Knoxville, IA to John and Alberta (Wendel) Ennis. She attended Melcher-Dallas High School and was employed with Meredith Printing/RR Donnelly, retiring after 35 years. She was a member of Bookbinder Local 77 and the Union Park Baptist Church in Des Moines, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
Bonne enjoyed watching television game shows and Atlanta Braves baseball. She traveled with her sister to Ireland, the family homeland. She liked to garden and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bonne will be missed by her daughters, Sheryl Houk and Jo Anna Houk, both of Urbandale; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Fitzgerald of Glenwood.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Brundage; parents; and brothers, Leland, Clifford, Dean, and Paul Ennis.
