M. Elaine Price Engstrum returned to her Heavenly Father and family peacefully at ninety-one years young on February 23, 2012 of a heart that could not keep up with her great spirit. Her love and her passions were family, faith, friends, shopping, and travel.

She was born April 25, 1920 to David Louis and Emma Jane Jensen Price. She was the last living child of David and Emma.

She was raised in Brigham City, Utah and attended Box Elder High School, and then graduated from Jordan High School when her family moved to Draper, Utah. There she met Alfred Engstrum and they were married on May 2, 1939. Together they raised five children.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she faithfully held many church positions, too numerous to name. After her husband's passing, she was able to go on an LDS proselytizing mission to the Seattle, Washington area. She loved missionary work, and served other missions.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her loving spirit touched everyone she met and all became her friends. She touched many people's lives for the better, loved them all, and taught us the true meaning of serving others. She didn't like to be idle, and always had a full social schedule.

She is survived by her children, Arnold, Barry (Rosemarie), Richard (Kathy), Marva (Chuck) Washburn, and Juliann (Jim) Olsen. She has fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter Traci Ann Engstrum.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 in the Woods Cross Second Ward Chapel, 1500 South 800 West. Viewings will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and again Monday at the church from 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the funeral.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Gardens, 4335 West 4100 South.
