Marjorie L. Broshar
Marjorie Lee (Endicott) Broshar, 82, of Lebanon, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
Born near Lebanon, on Aug. 27, 1921, she was the daughter of Clarence Harland and Edith Marie (James) Endicott; they preceded her in death. She married Raymond L. Broshar in Lebanon, on Aug. 27, 1939; he died Nov. 13, 1997.
She was a life resident of Boone County and a 1939 graduate of Dover High School. She and her husband lived on a farm in Jefferson Township near Dover for 54 years and moved to Lebanon in 1993. She worked for 10 years as a deputy in the auditor's office for former Boone County Auditor Charles Taylor. Broshar was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed her family, church and music.
She was a member of Dover Christian Church, where she was choir director for 30 years, and the Dover Double Dozens Home Economic Club.
Survivors include daughters Roxy Ann Birge and husband, Phil of Frankfort and Sue E. Timmons and husband, Richard of Lebanon; a brother, Don DeBard of Lebanon; grandchildren Rhonda L. Poiry and husband, Randy of Naperville, Ill., and Chad R. Timmons of Dover; and great-grandchildren Brock & Erica Timmons, both of Dover and Taylor, Harper, Carter, and Rutger Poiry, all of Naperville. A son, Rudy L. Broshar, is deceased.
Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, with services immediately following at 2 p.m. Pastor Mike Frazier will officiate. Burial will be at the Dover Cemetery in Dover.
