Destiny Courtney Encinias, age 5, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Alta Vista Regional Hospital.
Destiny was born on November 26, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM to Joe Robert Encinias and Sara Cordóva Bustamante.
Destiny attended school at West Las Vegas Head Start in Las Vegas, NM. Destiny was very loveable, loved her family and pets. Destiny was very smart always wanting to help out and learn something new.
Destiny was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, William Cordóva, maternal great-grandmother, Eslinda Benavídez, step-paternal great-grandfather, Ernesto Jaramillo, paternal great-grandparents, José and Adelia Encinias, paternal great-grandfather, John B. Durán, brother, Andres Robert Encinias and uncle, Kevin Durán.
Destiny is survived by her mother and step-father, Sara Cordóva Bustamante and Sevastian of Las Vegas, NM, father, Joe Robert Encinias and his girlfriend, María Ellen Gallegos of Las Vegas, NM, brother, Joseph Encinias, maternal grandparents, Ralph and Annette Cordóva of Las Vegas, NM, Lisa and Luís Mendoza of Albuquerque, NM and Ernest and Theresa Jaramillo of Las Vegas, NM, paternal grandparents, Joe and Margaret Encinias of Las Vegas, NM, maternal great-grandmother, JoAnn Durán of Albuquerque, NM, maternal great-grandparents, Rita and Ernest Sena, paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Mela Herrera, maternal great-grandparents, Elvira and John Martínez, great-grandmother, Rosa Jaramillo all of Las Vegas, NM, aunt and uncles, Olivia Cordóva, Ralph Cordóva of Albuquerque, NM, Estrella Encinias, Julian Bustamante and Nanette, Natasha Vigil and Jesse and Nicole Pacheco all of Las Vegas, NM, her nina, Angela Durán of Albuquerque, NM and numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Rosary devotional service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will take place at Saint Anthony's Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM. Serving as casket bearers will be Nathan Martínez, Daniel Edwards, Julian Bustamante, Rhonda Cordóva, Estrella Encinias and Joshua Martínez.
