DEATH OF MRS. EMMES. The widow of the late G. E.[J.] Emmes, the well-known shipbuilder who was killed by a carriage accident in 1884, died at 10 minutes to 5 o'clock this morning. The funeral takes place at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon. Mrs. Emmes had lived in the Islands since 1849. Her age was 63 years and her mother, Mrs. Gavin, survives her after turning 82 years. Mrs. Emmes also leaves a sister, Mrs. Samuel Savidge, and three daughters Mrs. John Cassidy, Mrs. James Robertson, and Miss Emmes. (SOURCE: The Daily Bulletin, Honolulu, Hawaii, June 5, 1891)

SUPREME COURT OF THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS - In Probate. In the matter of the estate of ANN H. EMMES, deceased. A document purporting to be the last will and testament of Ann Hilhouse Emmes, deceased, having on the 9th day of June A. D. 1891, been presented to said Probate Court, and a petition for the Probate thereof, and for the issuance of Letters Testamentary to Sarah Jane Emmes and William E. Foster, having filed by them. It is hereby ordered, that THURSDAY the 2d day of July, A. D. 1891, at 10 o'clock A.M. of said day, at the Court Room of said Court, at Honolulu, in Oahu, be and the same is hereby appointed the time for proving said Will and hearing said application, when and where any person interested may appear and contest the said Will and the granting of Letters Testamentary.
