NANNIE EMERT
---Mrs. Nannie Emert, seventy-one, a resident of La Plata for many years, died at her home here Friday evening after an illness of three weeks, although she had not been completely bedfast.
---Nannie Sophia Emert was born on a farm near Gibbs March 18, 1866, a daughter of Stephen G. and Harriet Jane Zimmerman Workman.
---She was married to Gus Williams in 1885. Mr. Williams died in 1903. In May, 1906, she was married to William H. Emert. Mr. Emert preceded her in death in 1922.
---Mrs. Emert became a member of the Presbyterian Church in early girlhood, later united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. Then in 1919 at the union of the churches, became a member of the Community Presbyterian Church. She served as secretary of the Order of Eastern Star for sixteen years and was re-elected at the last meeting of the lodge on December 30. She was also Worthy Matron of the Lodge in 1903 and 1918.
---Deceased is survived by one brother, William H. Workman, who made his home with her, three sisters, Mrs. Mary Mather of Arkansas City, Kansas, Mrs. Fred B. Tull of Kirksville and Mrs. Harry J. Myers of Kansas City; four cousins of La Plata, Miss Allie Workman, Byron Workman, Mrs. G.W. Morgon and Mrs. O.G. Reynolds and three nephews and two nieces.
---Funeral services were held from the community Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Fred L. Hudson. Burial was made in the La Plata cemetery.
