Mrs. Ada Collins Elton, age 88, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, December 19, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Elton was born August 28, 1931 in Morganville Kentucky to the late Fred Collins and the late Margaret Moman Collins. She had resided in Hazlehurst for most of her life, was a Homemaker and member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert E. Elton, grandson, Richard Clark Byrer, sister, Clara R. Matte and son-in-law, David L. McKinney.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Elton McKinney of Evans GA, Nancy Elton Nix (Wayne) of Richmond Hill GA, Gina Elton Morris (Jimmy) of Hazlehurst and Dorothy Elton Byrer of Phenix City AL; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Lee Elton (Wanda) of Cleveland TN; sisters, Margaret Moman and Betty Snodgrass both of Lexington KY; brother, Herman Moman of Henderson KY; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survived.

A Rosary and Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Rosary will begin at 10:30 am and Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am with Father Raphael Estrada officiating.

Interment will follow in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
