  The memorial service for Cathryn May Allen will be at p.m. Monday at the Medford Friends Church, 525 DeBarr Ave., Medford. Pastor Mark Burton of Medford Friends Church will officiate.
  Mrs. Allen, 85, of Tillamook, formerly of Central Point, died Monday (Jan. 11, 1999) at her home.
  She was born Cathryn May Elrod on March 11, 1913, in Madison, Kan.
  On March 14, 1937, in Emporia, Kan., she married Vernon L. Allen, who died in 1993. She moved to Medford in 1939, and Central Point in 1940. In 1996 she moved to Tillamook.
  Mrs. Allen worked for Central Point School District No. 6 for 11 years, retiring in 1981.
  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking.
  Survivors include a daughter, Melba Greene, Tillamook; two sons, Wayne, Youngstown, Ohio, and Harold Hal, Sunny Valley; a brother, Robert Elrod, Medford; two sisters, Elizabeth, Oregon, and Winona, Wyoming; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
