Former Grants Pass resident Alice Marie Ellsworth, 90, of Beaverton died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at an adult foster home.A graveside service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Colin Pederson officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1065, Grants Pass, OR 97528.Ellsworth was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Brawley, Calif., to Jessie and Frank Conley. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, Calif., and attended Fresno Nursing School. In 1946, in Fresno, she married Ernest Ellsworth, who preceded her in death. After doing field work as a missionary, she moved to Grants Pass. In 2007, she moved from Grants Pass to Beaverton.She was a member of the Salvation Army ladies ministry. For 10 years, she volunteered with a suicide hotline.Survivors include two sisters, Frances Warner of Fresno, and Ethel Bos of Beaverton; and two brothers, John and James Conley, both of Fresno.She was preceded in death by three sisters, Bertha Shattuck, Jessie Eccles and Cora Ellis, and two brothers, Charles and Harvey Conley.
