Helen Ellison Fulkerson, age 73, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother was called home to her Heavenly Father Jan. 27, 1991 after a long struggle with Alzheimer Disease.
She was born Feb. 11, 1917 in Provo, Utah the daughter of Alfred Ray and Alida Bates Ellison. She married Alvin M. Fulkerson in Overton, Nevada May 18, 1941 the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She grew up in American Fork and graduated from BYU in 1940. She loved music and was an accomplished musician. She taught school in Nevada and Utah. She had a special love for children. She was active in the LDS Church she served as Stake and Ward Dance Director, Primary President and YMMIA President.
Survived by her husband two sons and two daughters, Alvin R. and wife Nicia Fulkerson of Mesa Arizona; Robert L. and wife Barbara Fulkerson of Portland Oregon; Mrs. Dennis (Helen Ann) Durfey of Highland; Mrs. Mark (Linda) Peterson of Brigham City, Ut.; 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; one brother three sisters, William R. Ellison, Beth Devitt, both of American Fork, Faye Beck of Highland, and Joan Jones of Lehi.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. in the Am. Fork North Stake Center 975 No. 60 East. Friends may call Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to services. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
