Agnes Elizabeth Ellison, 90, of St. Patrick, died Dec. 25 at 4:55 p.m. at the Lewis County Nursing Home. The daughter of John N. and Susan Danker Kirchner, she was born in Clark County on July 24, 1895. She married Paul W. Ellison on Feb. 10, 1925, at St. Patrick. He died on Feb. 24, 1973. Survivors include four sons: John J. Ellison of Bettendorf, Iowa, Paul W. Ellison of St. Patrick, George E. Ellison and Robert E. Ellison of Canton; three daughters, Mrs. J. L. (Ladene) McAndrew of Harlingen, Texas, Mrs. Warren (Dorothy) Stuckwisch of Warsaw, Ill., and Mrs. Robert (Rita) Kirchner of rural Canton; one brother Nick Kirchner of St. Patrick; 27 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Clarence Joseph Kirchner; and one grandson, John McAndrew. Mrs. Ellison was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick, a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella; and a member of St. Ann's Altar Society, where she had held various offices. Services were held Saturday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Patrick with Rev. Robert Duesdieker and Rev. James Wheeler officiating. Burial was in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Organist was Lucille Danker; singers, St. Patrick Mens' Choir. Pallbearers were grandsons: Joe Ellison, Mark McAndrew, Michael McAndrew, Joe Stuckwisch, Jim Kirchner, Gary Kirchner, Tom Ellison, Tim Ellison, and Todd Ellison. Memorials may be made to the Daughters of Isabella. Arrangements by Shaffer and Sons Funeral Home.
