Elaine M. Brodt, age 88, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster.
She was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Clifton Township in Grant County, to Harvey and Delia (Weinbrenner) Ellis. Elaine was united in marriage to Fletcher W. Brodt on Aug. 26, 1945, in Bagley.
Survivors include daughter, DeeJayne (Paul) Thalmann of Fennimore; three grandchildren, Dennis (Sherry) Dobson of Carpentersville, Ill., Dustin (Amy) Dobson of Brookfield, and Melissa (Jesse) Harry of Kimberly; six great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Christiansen of Fennimore; sister-in-law, Mary Alice McCall of Bangor; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fletcher on March 4, 1983; and brother-in-law, Gordon Christiansen.
Funeral Services will be held at FENNIMORE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH in Fennimore at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, with Pastor Duane Andrus officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore. Friends may call from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at the LARSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME in Fennimore, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church on Friday morning.
