George M. Ellis Dies, Ill For Years
George M. Ellis died at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the family home, 316 South Fifth street. He had been sick two years and death was due to a complication of diseases.
Mr. Ellis was born in Cass County Nov. 16, 1874, and had resided in Lafayette several years. He was employed as a laborer. The deceased was a member of the St. Paul's M.E. Church.
Surviving are his widow, his father, George Ellis; one brother, William Ellis, of Lima, O., and the following sisters: Mrs. Alfred Peterson, of Bloomfield; Mrs. Louise Conn, Mrs. Frances Howe, and Mrs. Harry Pritchard, of Lafayette.
The body was prepared for burial at the Vianco undertaking parlors and will be taken to the home of Mrs. Pritchard, 622 North Fifth street, Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. W.A. Griest will officiate and interment will be in Springvale cemetery.
