Thomas C. Ellis, a pharmacist, died Monday of pneumonia at East Jefferson General Hospital. He was 70. Mr. Ellis was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie. He received a doctor of pharmacy degree from Loyola University. He owned and operated Ellis Pharmacy for 37 years and worked for the state Office of Public Health for 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Mosher Ellis; a son, Stephen Ellis; a brother, Richard Ellis; and three grandchildren. A Mass will be said Thursday at noon at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
