Mrs. Helms died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, in White County Community Hospital.
She was born April 9, 1917, in Putnam County to the late Chaston Ellis and Eliza Patton.
Mrs. Helms was a retired home care giver for Jewell Nolen and Elsie Jobe. She was a member of Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church.
Her family includes special nephews and nieces Earl and Janice Maddux, Jim and Connie Maddux and Sandra, John, Alicia and Barry Bohannon, all of Cookeville; a brotherinlaw, Clifford Maddux; a special cousin, Billy Stewart; a special neighbor, Elmer Lollar; and a host of friends and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ola Maddux.
