Mrs. Ida (Elliott) Anderson, 89, died yesterday at the home of a niece, Mrs. Ross Zembower, "B" Street, LaVale, where she had been confined to bed for the past two years because of illness.
Mrs. Anderson was the great-aunt of Cromwell C. Zembower, president of the Maryland Foremen's Association.
Her husband, John R. Anderson, died about 13 years ago and after his death she went to live with her niece in LaVale.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Bedford Valley, Pa., and had been a member of Bethel Methodist Church since her childhood. She was a daughter of the late George and Rebecca (Wertz) Elliott. She resided in Baltimore for about 50 years.
During World Wars I and II, Mrs. Anderson was active in the American Red Cross and did much knitting and sewing until a few years ago.
Besides Mrs. Zembower, she is survived by anothe niece, Mrs. Florence Oster, Mt. Pleasant, Pa., and a nephew, William R. Elliott, Bedford Valley.
The body is at Hafer's Funeral Home where services will be held tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. William J. Elliott, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
