Nancy Elliott Bohannon, 91, died Friday, June 25th at the Carmel House in Sherman Oaks, CA.

She was a native of LaRue County and was a much loved and highly respected retired teacher from the Shelby County Public Schools. She was a faithful longtime member of the Waddy Baptist Church and the Chatauqua Club. She also was a member of the Shelby County Retired Teacher's Association and the Kentucky Retired Teacher's Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hallie Elliott and Elizabeth Mather Elliott; and her husband, Russell Clay Bohannon.

She is survived by her daughters, Jen Adams (Larry) of Florence and Judith Bohannon of Los Angeles, CA; her granddaughter, Sarah Beth (Todd) Belcher of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 12 noon Saturday, July 3rd at the Waddy Baptist Church. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 2nd at the Shannon Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pleasureville Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Waddy Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
