"Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Hubbard were held Friday, April 9, at 2 o'clock from the home, with the Reverend Charles G. Fort of Sheffield officiatiing. Final resting place is Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Maggie E. Elliott was born at Schleisengerville, Wisc., April 12, 1848 and passed away at her home near Rockford, Iowa, April 6, 1948, lacking six days of being 100 years old.
When nine years old she moved with her family to Michigan and nine years later moved to a farm north of Rudd, Iowa.
Miss Elliott was united in Marriage to Charles Hubbard of Mitchell county, Iowa, July 4, 1869, and lived there during their early married life. The majority of their long years of life together were spent on their farm north of Rockford, where Mr. Hubbard passed away Nov. 21, 1943 in his ninety-nineth year.
Two children were born to them: Walter, who died last December 14, 1947, and Rosa M. who, with her mother's sister, Miss Rosa Elliott of Des Moines, Iowa survives.
For the past ten years Mrs. Hubbard has been very feeble, and for the past three weeks, critically ill. She passed away peacefully last week, Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock."
