Mrs. Verda Eller Adams, age 94 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011 in Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. She was born to the late Barnett and Ollie (Nicholson) Eller on April 22, 1917, in Hayesville, NC. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Adams, son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Fannie Adams, brother, Gilbert Eller, sisters, Helen Woody, Hazel Rhinehardt, Elda McClure and Hester Meins. She is survived by a sister, Cordie Wood, of Hiawassee, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 2:00PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold Ledford officiating.
Music was provided by Stanley and Karen Wood. Interment was in Bethabera Church Cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements
