Beryl T. "Tootie" Eliason, 81, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, June 27, 2008, at Dallas Health Care and Country Garden in Dallas, Wis.
She was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Gays Mills to Jenny (Taft) and Joseph Hagen. She was raised in Boscobel where she attended school.
Tootie married Arnold Eliason on March 27, 1943, in Chicago, Ill. They moved to Chippewa Falls in 1947 where she was employed as a cook at the Flame Restaurant and Chippewa Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine (James) Hall of Rice Lake, Sharon Eliason of Spokane, Wash., and Bernadine (George) Little of Chicago; two sons, Arthur (Susan) Eliason of Cadott and Ronald (Cindy) Eliason of Chippewa Falls; a sister, Carol (Jerry) Dunn, of Cashton; six brothers, Donald (Phyllis) Hagen of Woodbury, Minn., Louis (Shelby) Hagen and Michael (Linda) Hagen, both of Westby, Bryant Hagen of Marquette, Iowa, and Alan (Sue) Hagen and Larry Hagen, both of Viroqua; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Arnold Eliason Jr., on Feb. 12, 1981; her husband, Arnold, on Oct. 5, 2000; three sisters, Clarice Boggs, Esther Hagen and Patricia Hagen; and three brothers, Dick, Earl and Patrick Hagen.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. Robert Hoekstra, chaplain of the Chippewa Manor Retirement Community, officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Lake Hallie.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 30, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, and until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
